This hotel is excellent. AAA+ Stayed here with my wife and 15 year old daughter for 3 nights. It is located within easy walking distance (10 min) to the major shopping area (Golden Triangle). The rooms are large and very comfortable.

“Wonderful Stay”.

We are a family of four and had booked two suites for three nights and have nothing, but good things to say about the Istana. The welcome on the club lounge floor was personal and professional. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable with very spacious lounge rooms, office area and ensuite. Cocktail hour was just what was needed after hot days out and about in KL and the pool staff always catered to our needs. Breakfast was a huge affair and there is something for everyone. We could not fault this hotel and will definitely be returning.

“Excellent Hotel, in excellent position in Kuala Lumpur”

My husband, 21-year-old son and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in January 2010. The entrance and reception areas are awesome. The rooms are spotlessly clean with good beds and nice sheets. We have clean linen every day. Our rate of £40 a night for the room included breakfast which was a buffet style with everything you could imagine for every nationality. Excellent value.

The hotel is in an excellent position for travelling round either on foot or by monorail. The Petronas Towers are about 10 minutes walking and Bukit is around the same. The staff in the hotel couldn't have been more helpful and even organized my husband getting a tooth extracted late on Saturday. We chose to eat in the hotel every night as we were a bit whacked after sightseeing from early morning and the food was excellent and good value for money. Again it was a buffet and we counted 120 dishes before we gave up. The cost was RM80 and if you were resident you got two for RM80. With tax, this worked out at £10 a head! My husband (after the tooth extraction) had room service which was also excellent value for money. The pool was also as great bonus for a late afternoon swim.

Overall, the hotel is a great place to stay. We booked our rooms through agoda.com and would stay at this hotel again especially for the location.

“Centrally located, large hotel”

This hotel is located in the centre of KL, about 900 meters from the twin towers. The hotel is very large, the rooms are good, service is friendly and breakfast is absolutely outstanding. Altogether this hotel is a very good choice, especially if you get a competitive price.
